Re: 1994 TY250Z Advise / help required
Thanks Andrew, I can remember Todd's sidecar, but can't recall having seen any TYZs ridden as solos, but then I spent the 1990s in the navy and only managed to ride a few trials in Vic on my bully outfit in 1992 or 1993 (hard to remember which year). I think Todd was still riding the TYZ when I came ...

Thanks Paul.
You are correct, the rear rim is 36 spoke. I will check out your website re the rim and footpegs.
Attached are some pictures of the rear Brembo caliper.
The diameter of the pistons is 32mm.
The disc pads are SBS replacement pads that my local Yamaha dealer was able to get for me.

1994 TY250Z Advise / help required
Hi All, I have recently purchased as fairly original but somewhat neglected 1994 TY250Z.
I am currently giving it a quick once over to get it to a state where I can ride it and it will be safe and reliable. The engine runs, and it appears to be reasonably sound. So far I have found just a couple of ...

Re: Show us a picture of your Twinshock
I finally got my TY250B to the point of being able to ride it in a trial. I took it up to Mungaree for the trial last weekend, and it ran quite well considering that it is fitted with a DT125 carbie. I need to get a better set of rear shocks for it, the current one having been borrowed from my TL250 ...

Re: Show us a picture of your Twinshock
I thought that I might post a few pictures of the TY250B that I have been playing around with for the last couple of months.
First we need to go back in time a few years to 1975. I had had my KT 250 for a few months and one of my older brothers, Phil decided to buy a TY250 and have a go at this ...

Re: Electronic ignition for TL125
I am not 100% sure, but it is possible that the electronic ingition system from the XL125/185/200 from the early 1980's may fit on the TL125 engine, as they are based on the same basic engine design.

Re: Honda TL 250 Trials Rebuild
Cutter, PM me what bit you are after as I might be able to help out with some part or advise.
Earlier this year I picked up this '75 TL250;

Re: Molasse
For information, the active ingredient / chemical compound in both molasses and in Coke that "removes" the rust is Phosphoric acid.
Phosphoric acid is used in most "rust converter". The phosphoric acid converts the reddish-brown iron oxide (rust) to black ferric phosphate.
You can buy Phosphoric ...

Montesa 247 Cota year ID?
I am going to have a look at a 247 Motesa Cota after work tomorrow with the intention of making an offer to buy it. The guy who has it had it given to him a few years back and knows nothing about Montesa's. Is there any thing in the engine or frame numbers that gives a clue to the year model of ...
