Re: Oceanic Challenge - What happened??????????

Axel, I would like to reply to your coments. As a competitor and team member on numerous times and advicate for this event I have personally been pushing for this to have higher recognition for the last 10 years.

Firstly the only people not interested in this event is the Aussies who tend to treat ...

Re: Trials as training. Racers on trials bikes.

Yip here is a good one. Josh Coppins rides his Gas Gas bikes every summer when he comes back home to NZ and rides at the Non stop trials park in Nelson. He was getting really keen last year and doing quite well but this year his injuries have prevented him from riding the trials bike much at all as ...

OK, So now this has developed a bit here is my new opinion as an Expert and past Champion. I think NZ should be able to win the Aussie title and vise versa if you are game enough to come over. But I think if a top British/European rider comes over then they should ride as a demonstration rider only ...

If I understand PAs Gospel then all Kiwis this year should have an FIM licence this year if a UK/Euro rider is also competing and the organisers would need the IMN permit number?

When Jake Whitaker (NZ) and Pat Smadge (USA) rode in the European Championships a few weeks ago neither were eligible to score championship points. They could win the event and trophy but not recieve any points for it.

Outfit65- Colins score of 40 in the super trial was riding in a completely ...

Heres another thought, why dont you restrict them to a 125cc bike only?
This would only slightly close the us and them gap but they would still clean up convincingly, but it would make for a great spectacle and stories.

So would you class a Kiwi as a top international rider and there for not elegible to win any more? I understand the point about using the local champ to promote the sport but this would be very unfair for the Kiwi rider who is really only in the same level as the Aussies. Maybe the wording could be ...

Warren is actually in europe right now with NZ's new young gun Jake whitaker while I (wife Carron) is left at home with 3 kids. I have looked at the swan site and suspect that if you drop the www and just put in swan.logon.co.nz you might find the site. Good luck :?:
