fill the tank with vinegar to the brim and let it sit for 3 or 4 days, all the rust will be gone. Then always keep it full when you put it away or seal it with a tank sealer like POR15

if you can see the points arcing and sparking when looking through the flywheel, it usually means the condensor is stuffed. If your gunna replace the condensor you might as well put in some new points too. Buy a flywheel puller for about $30 (27mm left hand thread from memory) and new points and ...

they can be found for under a grand, you just have to hunt them out and maybe lower you expectations a little. I bought my bike for 950, it was advertised on this site, a 87 Fantic 243, motor like new and still running strong, monoshock-yes, disc front and rear-yes, watercooled-no, with as new tyres ...

from what i know of 70's hondas, the frame and engine numbers almost never match(if they do its purely by coincidence) but are usually within a couple hundred of each other. There's a very good chance this is the original engine.
