Re: TY250 fuel/oil ratio

Thank you Guy, Stu and David.

I think a semi synthetic (I ride sparingly) at 50:1 sounds a good place to start. Thanks for the advice

TY250 fuel/oil ratio

I have just removed the oil pump from my Yamaha TY250C twin shock. In "the old days" back in the 70s we ran Castrol Super TT at 20/1 or maybe 25/1. I am told modern oils are much better and I have heard stories of people running 50/1 and even 80/1! My preference is Castrol TTS which I assume is ...

Re: TY250 twin shock fuel tap gasket

Thank you all for your help and useful links. David is right, its in the book. This is a good example of how when you get I flustered and down on myself for being so silly that you don't see things that are in front you, like the fact the part is indeed listed.

Thank you all.

TY250 twin shock fuel tap gasket

I hope someone there can help me. I disaassembled my TY250 C 1976 Yamaha;s fuel tap for cleaning, and somehow managed to lose a gasket. Its a round hard seal that sits between the 'wave waher' and lever; the lever that swings through 180 degrees is held on by a plate secured by two philips heads ...

Re: Honda TL250 parts

Well, I emailed B&J confirming the order, and asking them to invoice me via Paypal, as they offered to do...I am still waiting for the invoice to arrive. I am trying to give these people money but they don't seem interested in taking it. Frankly I am not inclined to send these people any money...

Re: Honda TL250 parts

Thanks Jeolla and David for your replies. As it happens ,this morning I have finally a reply from B&J in the US, in which they provide all details I asked. So I will go with them, as they were my first choice - but I appreciate your feedback.
cheers

Honda TL250 parts

I am trying to source some parts for my 1975 Honda TL250, consumables such as sprockets, air filter, throttle assembly and cable. After checking out various websites I had a couple of small queries so emailed the two who appeared to be the best equipped to help me: Sammy Miller Products in UK and B ...

Re: Shameless plug

I recently had dealings with Paul Arnott from Hellteam and was suitably impressed. I live in the country and have recently taken up trials again. Now, riding gear etc is impossible to get up here, and as it happened I happened to be in Sydney for a short time but only had very limited time. I phoned ...

Re: TL250 fuel

Thanks for the great links Jens. Some really cool TL Hondas there! (And your English is perfectly fine, no problems)!!

Stay in touch and let us all know how the Honda comes along.

best wishes

Re: TL250 fuel

Hi jeolla.

Yes, original colour is a sort of dark gun metal silver/grey. Its quite a nice colour actually. Where is your location? Just wondering in case we need to swop parts/ideas at some stage in the future...

cheers
