Re: help with ty 250 b

PS: as for my previous post (newbie help wanted), when I rebuilt the forks I noticed that the top spacers were missing altogether. I replaced those, which turned the forks into "normal". It might just be the age of the springs?

But the pumping up definitely works.

Cheers,

T

Re: help with ty 250 b

Hello, Thomas here, the prev. owner. I used to hook up a supercheap tyre filler upper to the valve and pressed the trigger. It seems like yours isn't pushing the little valve pin in far enough to open the valve and let air in. You will see that as soon as you hit about 15 psi (from memory), the ...

TY250B chain guard...who can send me a trace?

Hi guys,

still looking for a TY250B rear chain guard. Looking at the pictures, their shape doesn't seem to be too complicated...can somebody trace it for me on a piece of paper? Or if you have one for sale?

Still have pdf copy of the TY250A repair manual up for grabs if anybody is interested ...

Re: Newbie and HELP PLS! with TY250B

Thanks again, everybody. What can I say...a puff of air out of the compressor and we have liftoff! Not sure what the ride will be like, still getting acquainted with the rest of the bike.

Still looking for a headlight assembly, r/h side stand and rear chain guard.

Thanks,

Thomas

Re: Newbie and HELP PLS! with TY250B

Hi guys,

thanks for the answers. Even if my forks are set up for 'air support", the springs should still push the legs out of the tubes without help, shouldn't they? At this point I am trying to establish if they are stuffed or if that's how they are supposed to be.

I had a similar setup on one of ...

Newbie and HELP PLS! with TY250B

Hi everybody,

Thomas here from Brisbane. I am new to this and just bought my first trials bike, a 75 TY250. I bought it off Ebay and it's a USA import. It's quite clean with a nice patina but the months in the container have killed the fork springs. They only manage to push the legs 50% out of the ...
