Re: TY front pipe repair / replace suggestions?
Ok thanks for the suggestions
There are preformed bends available that can be welded together to replicate the original and yes as Mark said it saves some labour cost if they can reuse the flange piece on the end. I would be surprised though if someone could do the job for you for much less than ...

TY front pipe repair / replace suggestions?
Hi all,
Rently picked up a 1976 TY175 and the front pipe is rusted out and needs replacing. Tried a couple of second hand ones and they'll all in much the same shape being almost 40 years old.

Re: Just bought 1st bike (TY175) -what basic checks should I
Just discovered an oil leak between the cylinder and the exhaust pipe. Cleaned it, rode it for 30 min, and its there again. What is this likely to be?

Beauty. Thanks for the input and advice fellas.
Is the dodgey air filter cover gonna do the job or should I be replacing it?
Also a few more closer photos including one of a chunk of metal missing out of the crank case cover, and a few cracks - are these any cause for concern ?

Just bought 1st bike (TY175) -what basic checks should I do?
After deciding I wanted an old TY to learn to do trials on, I foolishly rushed out and bought the first TY175 I laid eyes on, and not being terribly bike-savvy (I've owned a few old bikes over the years, but haven't progressed far mechanically beyond cleaning an air filter), I may have rushed the ...
