Our authorities responsible for registering vehicles here in Australia think they know more about what is required in the way of road safety and engine emission control than the rest of all the ...

Re: TY 175/250... opinions on suitability please.
Bloody Hell..... now I'm getting confused.
So, should I concentrate on looking for--
My original idea of a TY175/250
or..
The monoshock TY250
or..
A Beta Rev3 250
or..
A Scorpa SY250
It seems my original "old school" bike so I can start in the easy Trials sectors is not really an "essential ...

Re: TY 175/250... opinions on suitability please.
TY 250 monoshock??
How do these stack up as a beginner/ongoing bike for a novice trials rider?
Worth following up on?
I'm still hoping to get out to PP and check out The Hell Team for what they may have.
And there is a later model Beta in Vic. that has my interest, but not being able to view it ...

I will have to try to get a go on something just so I have a comparison point I think.

Re: TY 175/250... opinions on suitability please.
Thanks David,
jml just mentioned a similar thing about the difficulty levels and "old" v "new" bikes in the same comp levels.
To be honest, a four stroke would probably float my boat more than a two stroke these days.... just seems to be my "feel" as I get older.
Just had a look on youtube at the ...

Re: 2 or 4 stroke? (newbie here obviously)
Ahhhhhhh!
Ok, seems I've been given some misguided (perhaps obsolete) information on the different comp levels.
Easy stuff is where I want to start.
And I've never been one to be lured by peer pressure or the "I dare ya" comments of numb-bats
I like to keep working progressively to improve my ...

TY 175/250... opinions on suitability please.
I'm trying to get in to easy/low level trials riding.
Though I've never done trials before, I am a long time (43 years) rider on road and dirt, and have owned a large number of bikes (20 so far, two of which are still in the garage).
Not being familiar with the various competition levels, I've ...

Re: 2 or 4 stroke? (newbie here obviously)
JML, I know bigger is often not "better" , that's why my ADV bikes have been getting progressively smaller as I've moved from road oriented touring to more dirt and trail detours on my rides.
