Re: Who wears body armour
I've been using the leatt 3df vest for the last few years. It has D3O spine and chest armour. The D30 doesn't feel bulky at all and the material for the rest of the best is similar to skins, so it's not too hot, even in summer. The link below is for the old grey version that I have, which is now at ...

Re: Magnetic Kill switch replacement cap - 3D print
Great idea!
For anyone who wants to print it, I'd recommend looking at 3dhubs. That way you can get it done locally and probably cheaper.
What filament have you used to print yours? I have had good results with carbon reinforced PLA. I may try print your magnet thing with that and see how it goes.

Re: Beta/Sherco/GasGas parts which one
No one seems to have mentioned this yet, but most of the components on the post 2013 bikes are shared.
Suspension - Formula tech forks (except beta and pre-15? Gas gas)
Brakes and Clutch - Braktek aka AJP
Wheels and hubs- Morad
Unless it's plastics or pistons, the dealer doesn't matter too much ...

I turned an old piston in a phone dock with a 3d printed insert
I thought there'd be some people on this forum that would find this interesting.
I used an old piston from my first bike (ktm 200) and made a 3d printed insert with a slot for a cable, to use the piston as a phone dock. The 3d model I made is free to be modified for other bikes and used for your ...

Get a bit more bounce
At my last club trial, I noticed some of the other riders being able to bounce the bike around really easily. I realise this is mostly due to better technique and body positioning than me, but it does make me want to ask some questions about tyres and suspension.

Re: TTR110 Tank & Seat onto Beta EVO
Great idea. These trials bikes work great for us technical trail riders.
I was considering making something similar for the shercos.
My suggestion would be to make use of the empty space under seat. Even if it's too hard to put extra fuel in there, a storage box for car keys, a spark plug and ...

Re: Sherco trials long range tank and seat
I was thinking more along the lines of the beta one where there's extra fuel as well for trail riding.
For trials riding where I'm only using the standard fuel tank, I'd rather ride with no seat

Sherco trials long range tank and seat
I was looking for something along the lines of what beta does and couldn't find anything.
If I am currently in the process of designing one for myself and I wanted to ask on this forum if there would be much interest if I were to make a few of them?
