Re: Long term ownership issue with OKO K101 carburetor

I agree completely on that one David. I have bought a new float needle for one of mine and my M199 will need one soon.

I was starting to think I was losing my mind!

My RL ran beautifully with the OKO and over time got harder to restart if I stalled or turned it off.
Symptoms of loading up, kick ...

Re: Basket Cases

I had a TL250 for a few years and loved it.
One problem that took a while to find was continuous stalling at low revs. Turns out it was the cam wearing in the head and varying the timing due to the continuous changes in the points gap.
I found it to be a great hard trailbike, a bit like my KTM ...

Re: SQUEAMISH carby mods

Hi Everyone,
I still have the "Squirmish" and it get ridden regularly. Apart from a random problem that feels like loading up it's still a lot of fun to ride.
Excellent to hear Brent, you have me curious about what carby you are running? The standard 28 mm is a little big in my opinion so I ...

Re: SQUEAMISH weight distribution

Hi Everyone,

On another note, I was asked recently about weight distribution on my SQUEAMISH and I didn't have an answer. From memory the motor went forward 15 mm in the frame and that was achieved at the front at least by fabricating new engine mounts.
So to summarise, the crankshaft centreline ...

Re: New boot fix

I bought some new boots and on most bikes they were great but on one bike the top edge of the sole would get caught under the edge of the stand mount at critical times when riding.

Re: Fixing a dented steel tank

I'm working up the courage to do my first-ever tank repair using the technique of cutting the tank top off the tank bottom, panel beating it and welding it back together.
The side and top rear dents could probably be removed without cutting it apart but there is some damage ahead of the filler cap ...
