I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best clear coat for alloy parts, and came up with this. I have purchased the product (expensive) but not yet used.
It can be applied by brush and will dry smooth (apparently). It will apparently not yellow, and sets extrememly hard.

Last thing first the slot in the steering head is indeed a steering lock. Originally the bike had full lights and road gear. If it is not locked and you don't have a key then you don't have a problem

I am looking for a set of (only one actually) top out springs for a TY175 front forks. Rebuilding a set for a friend's bike and one top out spring was missing! Does anyone have a wrecked set of forks or can I buy them somewhere?
