Re: Insurance Companies That Will Insure A Trials Bike?
Yes. Suncorp have stated that it doesn’t fit the criteria to be listed under contents insurance. I’m actually surprised that it’s difficult to insure an unregistered motorcycle for fire and theft.

Insurance Companies That Will Insure A Trials Bike?
In the light of the recent theft of my TY250C I’ve tried to insure my replacement TY, but so far no one wants to provide fire and theft insurance on an old unregistered ‘off road’ motorcycle. Shannon’s will only insure me if I have other policies with them, which I don’t.

Yamaha TY250C Frame Colour
I want to touch up the frame on my TY250C and I also want to paint the rear swing arm after a repair. Does anyone know what rattle can silver is close? I bought a rattle can supposedly a dull silver, but it’s a bright silver and doesn’t look right at all.

Re: Stolen Yamaha TY250C
It was stolen from Bray Park, Brisbane Northside. My street is not a through road, carries very little traffic and is generally a very good neighbourhood. I have never left my bike out on the trailer before. We got home in the dark, so it seems it was just an opportunist that happened to see it. The ...

Re: Stolen Yamaha TY250C
Thanks for posting that photo David, yes the only difference was lights were removed, homemade sharks fin with bracket welded to the swing arm. Brand new IRC rear tyre fitted and brand new Michelin front tyre fitted, Ballard’s Pivot Assist clutch lever, widened standard pegs. Thankfully my Falcon ...

Stolen Yamaha TY250C
I got home last night after the TY Challenge and left my bike on the trailer because it was late after a big day, yes stupid in hindsight, but I had the trailer hard up against the side fence and reversed up to the double gate to my back yard. The bastards still managed to take it. Very sad, only ...

Re: New to Trials Brisbane Northside
Thank you for the great advice!
Loved the jingle.
I’m looking forward to sorting out the few things needed to make it a great fun bike.

New to Trials Brisbane Northside
Hi all, great to be a member of this forum. I’m 51 and I have just purchased an old 1976 Yamaha TY250 (darks blue & white) and would like to get involved in trials riding. I need to do a couple of things to it, but overall it’s in reasonably good original condition. The first thing on the list are ...
