"Its people like you what cause unrest"

I got this sump guard in a box of supposedly TY parts.

I don't think this is TY but anyone want to hazzard a guess what its off?

I thought all gas shocks had the "mini" piston seperating the gas from the oil ?

I am only coming at this from experience with cars but pretty sure all Bilstion and Koni shocks have a piston to seperate the two.

Wouldn't pressurised gas on top of the oil actually not work without the piston? ie ...

I recently picked up a "TY clutch" at a boot sale but its pretty clearly not A-D twin shock as its too big.

The part no for the basket is 498 16311 C2.

Can anyone tell me what TY's ran 498 part numbers? Maybe an aircooled mono?

I am thinking that is the place. I have had a look on google maps/earth and I thought it was around about where there appears to be a quarry.

Sounds like the usual BS from neighbours, though MX bikes and similar appear to be the problem not the trials riders, a shame as usual.

Just wondering if anyone recalls the motorcycle park that was located at the northern end of the Gold west of Pimpama in the 70's?.

I recall it was called Highland Park, not to be confused with the residential suburb of the same name near Nerang on the Gold Coast.
