Yep its a pretty common thing. They take the money straight away, then take an eternity to get the licence out

No I don't think there is any modern day trials bike that does have a compliance plate. Scorpa were going to do one but got stuffed around from piller to post from the authorities involved. In vic i'm sure you would be able to get rec rego. I guess that is why I'm still using my ty250 with full nsw ...

Thanks for the link.
It agrees with what i have heard about removing the head gasket to minimise the squish.
I have just had a late model gas gas carby been made available to me, so I might try to give that a go before cutting away the slide on the original carby

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone has any answers for stopping the pinging or minimising it on my TY250. The motor is fresh and unmodified but it pings it head off.
I beleive the original pistons had dishes in the crown ( I could be wrong) but my piston is flat.

I have a TY250S that has full NSW rego. I beleive this model came with a compliance plate when bought new in Australia.
No problem getting it regoed just had to get a blue slip and that was all. The RTA had no details on the bike re power, weight dimension etc so i just used what was in ...
