David,
Prompt response - cheers. I don't suppose you know what the standard jetting/settings for the jc carby are then?
Here's what I got:
Pilot air screw: 1.25 turns out
Main jet: 140/253 0-8 (looks like a 140 screwed into a 253)
Pilot jet: 22.5
Clip pos'n: Didn't check.
Thanks, Mark.

Re: TY Identification
Whilst we are talking about TY identification and carbys I have another question:
Do I have the correct carby on my TY175?
I am pretty sure I have a JC model (IN4000126), with the big exhaust and compliance plate. Earlier this week I did a rebuild on the carby to record the jetting settings. When ...

Re: Droopy kickstart lever TY175 - help.
With the cover off i put the kickstart lever back on the shaft and then preloaded the spring, by hand, until it had enough torque to lift the lever back to home position. 1/4 turn of preload looks about right to me too. I'll reposition the stop and check again.

Re: Droopy kickstart lever TY175 - help.
Yes, sorry, the kickstart lever has been like that since I got the bike.
I have the cover off, but couldn't see anything obvious and couldn't rotate the spring another whole rotation as this seemed way too tight. In the state it is in the spring doesn't have much preload on it - so I think the ...

Droopy kickstart lever TY175 - help.
All,
I am hoping for some more help with my TY175C. The kickstart lever and shaft falls/rotates down under its own weight when in transport or riding around. Its like the return spring does not have enough guts to spring it back up.
Do I need a new coil spring or do I need to do something to ...

Re: New and need advise Ty 175
Azza,
Looks like a repair to me. They have cut out the rusted/crushed section and replaced the bend with small sections of straight pipe. The TY I recently purchase was crushed in the same area. I repaired it using two mandrel bends from an exhaust shop. They were only fairly cheap too (approx $20 ...

Re: Show us a picture of your Twinshock
Here is my TY175C that I've been cleaning up since just before xmas. I've still got quite a bit of work to do yet, but it was good to put it together and have a bit of a putt around, ie finally get a bit of return on the time I've invested. Thanks everyone who's added to this site, the info I have ...

Re: TY 175B after market guards
I recently purchased a Gonelli rear guard for my TY175 and for the price it fits well. I purchased it from Don Newel in Queensland and had it posted to Sydney all for just under 50. All in less than a week too. As long as your not after the original look i recommend it.

Re: TY175 shocks-repair/replacement?
Appreciate the reply thanks.
The shocks are the originals at the moment...
But I think I'll begin to search for some aftermarket replacements. I am new to trials, from enduro (looking for some new skills), so as long as they are better than what the originals (in new condition) would do I would ...

TY175 shocks-repair/replacement?
I have recently purchased a TY175 to cleanup and then ride. The rear shocks have no dampening and I was wondering if anyone has attempted to repair them. If so could you please let me know how you went. I have attempted to refill the oil through the bore end but it doesn't want to pass through the ...
