My brother in Adelaide has an older Honda trials bike he has no use for anymore so I have laid claim to it. The bike has some mechanical challenges so I am looking forward to tinkering with it and hopefully getting it running fully again but first I need to get it to my place.

I had the pleasure of upgrading my bike recently and am loving riding the 2011 Gasser 300! I have a question about the fuel/oil mix to run in the bike. Some experienced people whom I respect greatly have said to run 100:1 but the Gas Gas manual for this model says 50:1.

So what is the best ...

I would like to go for a ride during the week but the places I usually go are only open on weekends (e.g. Pacific Park). Any suggestions?

Yes Terry, I should have thought of that. I am a long way from mastering the technique of SPLAT in clearing obstacles.

However I am very practised in the art of a SPLAT dismount from the bike when attempting an obstacle.

Yeah, I know it is difficult to say what to tackle when you haven't seen me on a bike. :) You are right in saying start out easy and work your way up, particularly when it comes to injury - I don't bounce as well as I did when I was younger, I tend to more go "SPLAT ...
