I bought one of those magneto covers off US ebay a year or so ago. They do pop up now and then. There are people wrecking RLs over there
Yes I have no doubt that one will eventually turn up ......sometime. I keep a watch on ebay. Not that savvy with ebay stuff, do I need to specifically go to ebay ...

Re: Suzuki RL250 Mania
I hope the RL riders out there are having fun.
The guard moulds are available for I don't need them any more.
I have some more parts for sale in Facebook marketplace and gumtree.
Westy - you should join up with the RL250 Exacta Owners Facebook page that I admin - I'm sure someone on there would ...

What parts do you have Westy? I'm particularly after a pair of fork legs
I would be interested as well in RL parts. A good seat pan maybe.

I don't know if Greg knows of a capable weldor?
I have been told this alloy doesn't weld well. I would prefer a clean one as I want to do as good a resto as I can with what's available. But yes I will also go down the repair path.

Re: Basket Cases
Hi guys. What premix oil ratio should I be using in my RL250 if using synthetic 2T oil. I haven't owned an old two stroke since the 70s. I dont want to over oil her but am also mindful of keeping enough oil up to the left hand crank bearing. I have read so much conficting info so I figure whatever ...

2T oil ratio RL Suzuki ....sorry.
Hate to dig this old chestnut up, but after reading what I can find about it I am probably more confused. I use Motorex fully synthetic in my modern enduro bike at 55:1. But that's a water cooled engine using todays metals and designed for unleaded fuel. The RL of course is air cooled, maybe ...

Hi good to be back!
Looking forward to the coming year. I have a Suzuki RL basket case project about to start and am hoping that the gasgas contact will be back on the production line (albeit under KTM) as I need registered bike where I ride. Thanks in advance to everybody I will be leaning on for wisdom! Cheers.
