Don`t remove the bottom off the shock.!!!! You`ll lose all the damping oil , gas, and most likely damage internal components.
I assume you just want to change the spring ?. Wind off the alloy ring with the grub screw, drop down the spring ,and remove the ring at the top of the shock ...

Well while we`re at it.Lay off the Motocrossers aswell !!!. My boys have made plenty of mates through the sport, bit more testosterone out on the track, but once everyones back in the pits, it`s a very social scene.
