I have a fibreglass tanked Montesa 348 and 247 as well as a TY175 with a shedworks fibreglass tank. All tanks are in good condition with no leaks. The gear shift on my 247 also had a tendency to stick and after reading this I tried an extra fibre washer on the drain plug.....
the bike is now shifting cleanly and the sticking is no longer an issue!!
I love it when you come across a simple fix to an otherwise frustrating problem
