I lusted after one of these as a kid and always thought I would like to own one at some stage. I just never thought it would take me this long. I pick it up when I get home. My mate even put a name plate on it for me. :yamaha

Fibreglass Tanks

I have a fibreglass tanked Montesa 348 and 247 as well as a TY175 with a shedworks fibreglass tank. All tanks are in good condition with no leaks. Re: Cota 247 gearshift

The gear shift on my 247 also had a tendency to stick and after reading this I tried an extra fibre washer on the drain plug.....
the bike is now shifting cleanly and the sticking is no longer an issue!!
I love it when you come across a simple fix to an otherwise frustrating problem

Re: Basket Cases

Speaking of welded kick-start shafts, does anyone have a kick-start shaft for a TY175JC in their secret stash of parts that they would like to give a new home to? I have the kick starter but the shaft is well rounded and pretty much beyond beyond salvage. I have quite a few TY175JC road going parts ...

Re: Basket Cases

This project jumped into my trailer and followed me home. It is an RL250 that comes with a TS250 motor for parts and an extra set of fork legs of unknown origin that measure up the same (I am guessing Yamaha DT?). Looks like everything is there with the exception of the RL piston and barrel so we'll ...
