This is the type of speedo found on Hondas CB, SL, XL, and I am presuming TL of the early late 1970 early 80s

You will be supprised at what you can find in new parts on Ebay. I recently rebuilt a TL125 myself and purchased, carby kit from canada, Air snorkel and element asia, seat and cover USA, gasket set from Japan, front guard from UK . I also noted spoke sets, rims and fork tubes all new listed.

Yes always keep a spare spark plug on hand as the bike has occasionally done that to me and the new plug always fixed the problem.
Did you sort out the rear brake problem?
