Re: Basket Cases
Let us know what model Alpina that one is. I know the later Alpinas all had Motoplat ignitions on them. Both the M212 and the M213 had Motoplat on them. Either will fit though. Motoplat or Femsa. The 350`s all had a much heavier flywheel on them though.

I agree completely on that one David. I have bought a new float needle for one of mine and my M199 will need one soon.

I have pulled all of my three Sherpa front and clubfoot exhausts apart and repacked all of them. All needed work on the insides. It really does make a massive difference!

Re: Basket Cases
Hi Greg and David. That sounds right David about that washer on top of the kickstart gear. Most of the ones I have seen have been steel though. Have a look on the In Motion site. The part number is 20.07.031. It looks to be steel. Now Greg you leave my painted nuts alone!!!!!

Re: Basket Cases
See in the first and last photo on top of the kickstart gear there is a flat washer on top of the kickstart gear. That on is the only washer in an older Bultaco gearbox. Some later ones have one on the clutch shaft inside the center cases. The shifting pawls have a spring behind them to hold them ...

Re: Basket Cases
Hi Greg. I can`t see the springs that push the shifting pawls out and the washer on top of the kickstart gear either. A few case screws are not there either. It looks like it is basically all there just some minor bits missing.

Re: Basket Cases
I do like the aluminium bash plate though. Thinking about doing that on my M199.

I hope you realise you should be completely ashamed of yourself David! Sacrilege right there. Senor Paco Bulto would be turning over in his grave right now!!!!!!

Re: Handlebar rear brake
A few people were using a handle bar rear brake on the early EM`s. That means they must be out there. A clutch master cylinder would probably work.
