Re: 40mm Aluminium Marzocchi's. 2014 GG.

That's good information Paul. I've not seen that before.

Do you have any hints as to the fill level and is it done with the piston rod pulled up or left down?

Chris.

Re: 40mm Aluminium Marzocchi's. 2014 GG.

Howdy Rod, your old mate Chris here. The other source of a clunk can be the floating brake disk moving on the bolts.

There is obviously some top-secret trick to getting these forks to work right but nobody is willing to pass on the information in full.

Some people say you need to remove the ...

Re: Gas Gas Vs Sherco pros n cons

I normally wouldn't comment on dealers (don't usually have anything good to say about them) but this time I will vouch for the Hell Team's spare parts stock. I just did a major overhaul on my bike and which included some very uncommon parts requests. Paul had every single part in stock and I had ...

Re: Gas Gas Vs Sherco pros n cons

Both good bikes in my opinion. I prefer the Gas Gas for it's six speed gearbox (Sherco is only five). Some slippery big hill-climbs near here really need 4th gear and the Sherco is simply geared way too high in 4th and way too low in 3rd. Some of the early Sherco's didn't have enough steering lock ...

Re: Keihin PWK 28

Hi Rod,

I have a 2011 Raga 300. We spoke briefly after the last SQTA trial and I mentioned moving the needle clip one position richer. It solved the problem on my bike but sounds like it was not enough for yours.

I'm guessing the standard jetting is the same on both our bikes but just for ...

David, you (and your wife) have excellent memories - correct on all accounts. I will send you a PM to save boring everyone else with our reminiscing.

Re: Old Queensland trials Poster. Who knows who this is?

Ok David, you got me! You have a very good memory. And the hair fell out many years ago

By the way, I wasn't a member of the Rocky Trials club, I just rode in a trial up there while on holidays (and my folks weren't too impressed with having that giant TL250 jammed inside the caravan).

Regards ...

Re: Old Queensland trials Poster. Who knows who this is?

I remember going to Cedar Glen and watching Mick Andrews do his show. And seeing him ride with no shirt reminds me of this strapping young fella (circa 1974)...

This is the same bloke a year later with a new bike in Rockhampton Qld...

Re: Sammy Miller in QLD??

And just for your viewing pleasure... Here's a photo of myself and Sammy Miller (he's the one with hair) at the museum posing with the legendary GOV 132 Ariel. Actually, to be honest, that bike is a (very good) replica which Sammy still rides in club trials today. The real GOV 132 is inside the ...

Re: Sammy Miller in QLD??

Ok, found it! Back in 2005, my sister and I visited the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum in Hampshire, England and I was surprised to see this poster nailed up on a column in at one end of the building. Tom Blunt and his family still live at Mt Cotton but not at the same property. But he still ...
