Just looked in the manual. Above 5 Deg C Showa SS05 Below 5 Deg C Belray #5 or PB #10 But the weight of the oil really depends on your weight and how quick you want the forks to work.
right leg 407ml
left leg 391ml

High tensile brass? catchy I think this is what used to be called "gun metal". well I had a lot of problems with engine knock with my 2002 montesa and looked right into fuel, plugs, timeing ,jets etc .
