So we are almost finished. Ended up keeping it all pretty much original look except for the lights. Still need to sort out new rims and spokes and a pair of side covers and decals. But all in all I think its a pretty fitting tribute.

Re: 1976 TL125 parts for road registering
Hi David, Thanks for the reply. You are correct. 60s era CT90/CT110 cables fit this apparently. But I had major trouble finding one within my ever shortening time frame. So I pulled the threaded insert out and machined down the end of the cable I had as well as machined up and new insert to go in ...

Re: 1976 TL125 parts for road registering
Sammy Miller uk sorted the front guard and mount quickly for me. Great guys there.
The speedo and cable I am still stuck on. Still haven't received the speedo yet to get an idea of how long inner cable will end up? Anyone have any idea what is meant to go on that threaded section? Everyone I've ...

Re: 1976 TL125 parts for road registering
So after a few hours research and some trial and error with different winding combinations I'm pretty sure I have 12V charge out of a full wave bridge rectifier for now. Will do some more checking when I get a regulator out of an old 250 down the paddock.

Re: 1976 TL125 parts for road registering
6V turn signals/signals, brake lights are also looking to be a drama. I'm not keen on the original indicators or brake lamp, but all the after market stuff appears to be for 12V only. I'd be happy with clear lenses and coloured globes.
Otherwise, what side case fits the 125 that would have 12V ...

Re: 1976 TL125 parts for road registering
Got the engine together with the CT125 Head and it fired 2nd kick. (of course) Figured out the carby wasn't original, much bigger and didn't suit the other bits. got a hold of an old CT125 mostly complete and fitted that carby, much better. Working on an exhaust etc and now all the road stuff.

Re: 76 TL125 Inlet/exhaust valves
Thanks for all the replies. Bert from BK performance is highly recommended! He knew straight away that the head was a CB125J/N and had the valves in stock. Not to mention quite a few other bits n pieces for my TL.
I'll pass on the tools for now, thanks anyway. Don't wanna take on too many ...

Re: 76 TL125 Inlet/exhaust valves
I have been doing some research and it I'm now thinking the small valve head is the original and the big valve head is the CB/SL/XL or something.
Most people say that the big valve head robs low down torque. Pity cause the original head has the camshaft area worn out. And while my Dad can machine ...

76 TL125 Inlet/exhaust valves
Going by what info I can find online and the frame number, I have a 1976 TL125S. I'm chasing a new set of inlet/exhaust valves and finding some differing size between 2 different heads I have and what I can find listed as part numbers and ebay listings.
