Re: Yamaha TW 200 project!!

Engine's out. Needs a good clean up and some general TLC. Thinking black paint and red Yamaha Symbol for the paint job of the engine. (Making sure the exhaust line doesn't get clogged with any dust or unwanted creepy crawlies make sure to stuff some old cloth, rag etc in the pipeline)

Re: Yamaha TW 200 project!!

Re: Yamaha TW 200 project!!

Headlight, seat, tail light, indicators and speedo all taken off. Small amounts of rust here and there becoming visible. Should be fine after I take the heinous blue paint off her and sand blast the frame. Any recommendations for sand blasting frames would be appreciated as I've never done it before.

Coming apart piece by piece. Previous owner hadn't ridden her for over a year. WD40 got a good work out.

Yamaha TW 200 project!!

I'm new to the site and have just bought a stock 2001 Yamaha TW200. My mate and I have just began to start pulling it apart and hopefully get it customised into a cool flat tracker style bike in the next few months. Will post photos of progress. Hopefully anyone else whose done one of these ...
