Re: Yellow line:- B grade, T3 or Trial 3
yamfan, would you say that the top end of your T4 riders could comfortably/safely ride your 3 x 'easy' T3 lines? Or would it still be a stretch?

Re: Trials bike parts/service Melbourne
Agree, choosing a bike because of support is important.
All those bike will have dealers in Melbourne. The other thing to consider is a lot of common parts are shared (for example braktec brakes are used on all but Beta).
I was nervous about this when I started but in the 3+ years i've been ...

Re: Any trials gear retailers in Melbourne ?
The only things you really need (it's subjective, but I think most would agree) is trials boots that are designed with more flex than standard MX boots. The other thing is an open face helmet.
Everything else I wear is MX gear.

There are some great youtube vids that give you an idea of the grades:

Don't be afraid of a 250cc. The advice I keep receiving is buy the best bike (newest, well looked after) and then sort the rest out. You will adapt and you can tweak the bike.

Re: Insurance Companies That Will Insure A Trials Bike?
Is it just the age of the bike that is the trigger for Shannons to instigate the '2nd policy' rule?
I rang them for a quote, albeit on more modern bikes, but there was no mention of the need for an 2nd policy on home insurance etc.
I was getting quotes on what they call 'laid up' cover.
