Most piston rings have a 'dot' or a 'T' on the side of the rings and this goes to the top side. Hope that will help you out...

Take the rubber sealing ring from its locating grove and use a piece of glass or the bedroom mirror with a sheet of 80 grit 'wet and dry' paper and work in circular motions as well as back and forward in the plane of the bolt holes. It will take a bit of time but the result is a perfectly flat ...

There are at last a few bike exhaust specialty shops opening up I guess in all the major cities and they are run by bike riders so they savvy our talk. Do a Google on AU only for "motor cycle exhaust shops" and see how you go for your area. If you hit a brick wall there is one in Moss St, Slacks ...

Dead easy to repair that, a 4 inch angle grinder with a 'flapper disc' to sand the damaged are plus about 2 cm further to give a good base for the repair. any hardware store there days has woven glass matting and polyester resin in small amounts, more than you will need to do the job.

I sent email's to Logan and Western Districts, I was hoping to find an active club within easy distance of the Sunshine Coast to drive to meetings. Think Rocky is more of a trip than a run up the highway. But thanks for the info, every bit helps.
