TY250A Fuel Tank
In the very last stage of restoring a TY250A and found that the fuel tank on the bike is aluminium.
Would I be correct in assuming this tank is more likely to have come from a 1977 TY250D part number 493-24110-00-06 and if so are these tanks commonly available?
Also on the original tank is the ...

Again I have been told, but have never seen, that Yamaha published a four page information document on this option complete with instructions and ...

Your attachment with the 0-120km face is exactly like the one I am restoring from the front. The correct bracket for this speedometer is a round circle band with a return leg that attaches to the front fork. The band fits over the rear body of the speedometer and is sized to be an ...

Re: Yamaha TY250A Speedometer Rebuild
Hi David,
The minimum specification would be the following:-
Works/ good face and clear glass/ no rust to inner face rim/ no excessive rust to the main body but the "normal" rust found under the rubber gasket no problem. No dings to body.
I have both a good mounting bracket and the rear body cover ...

Re: Yamaha TY250A Speedometer Rebuild
You would think this would be the case but I have had little success in locating a good speedometer locally and even on ebay they seem to be thin on the ground. I`ll take your advice and see what is available via the UK forums but would be interested in hearing from anybody with one they are no ...
