Re: KT250 project
hi, more on the KT strip down. As mentioned elsewhere, the front forks are 36mm diameter and not original KT250 parts . Had to replace one of the long fork springs as it was broken and add extra spacers . Also rear wheel is not original ( DiD 2.15 x 18 rim and 4.10 x 18 tyre instead of DiD 1.85 x 18 ...

Re: KT250 project
Hi , Got green framed KT250 stripped down. Usual problems: mounting brackets missing from frame, Split seem on exhaust header, collapsed bottom steering bearing, badly bent handlebars. Black painted petrol tank seemed a bit heavy so i weighed both it and another green KT tank. Black tank has an ...

Re: Suzuki RL250 forks
Hi All, i currently have a RL250 and KT250 in bits and a spare set of TLR200 forks lying around. I ran the digital calipers over the 3 sets of forks and found:
RL250 tubes 36mm, KT250 tubes 34mm, TLR200 tubes 35mm. Also tried to push tubes into a set of TLR200 steering heads, result: TLR200 tubes ...

Re: RL250 Dreams
Hi All, Thanks for the comments Tom . Good to have another possible source for parts. At the moment just trying to straighten frame, looks like something has fallen on the right side. Amazing what you can do with a hydraulic bottle jack ( the RL backbone twists real easy ), a long pipe and a large ...

Re: Basket Cases
hi all, Greg - i thought it was rather subtle to have two suzuki's in one photo. The Escudo is an ancient 1991, but the 1974/75 RL250 replaced a 1961 Morris Minor. I think i may have some problem with liking old things
