Re: TY front pipe repair / replace suggestions?

Hi, I have the SM pipe on my TY175 - the SM pipe slips into the muffler, used hi-temp silicone and seals with no problems. See photos attached. cheers, Greg.

Re: cooked exhaust Al dent'e

see photo of a dissected muffler - have found the packing at the back is saturated with oil which is a significant cause of the extra weight.

Re: MTCQ’s TY Challenge – “Pick the Part” Photo Competition

Hi Don, now that the line is a bit clearer, i reckon:

1 TY80 B fuel tank
2 TY80 B exhaust heat shield and tank
3 TY250 air cooled mono fork tube and dust seal
4 TY250B RH side of motor

Re: Painting plastic fuel tanks (Ty350)

Hi Greg, that tanks not a pretty sight - i ended up rubbing my 'pinky' tank with fine emery paper and final turtle wax polish to make it look reasonable, but it is starting to get a yellowish stain again as i have not been using it for the last six months - having searched on various forums i have ...

Re: TY175 C Refurb 2

Hi Warren,
The black 'Yamaha' tank decals are a copy of originals that i have, they turned out very accurate by a local signmaker - the other white '175' and 'Trial 175' are also copies, but made without originals available, so still trying to get them right (font and size).
cheers, Greg.

Re: TY175 kickstart hits footpeg

Until i get around to adopting David's idea, a couple of alternatives to keep my bike 'legal' and me out of the protest room:
- removable 'wedge' - store in the riding boot when not required,
- elastic band attached to the frame - section of old inner tube should do.
