Re: Basket Cases

Hi Everyone,
Just wondering about your latest acquisition Greg, are those “ape style” handlebars genuine? There really is some serious rust on those forks. I’m with Kurt on this one, the registration in some way is smacking us in the face, but Greg has a way of making things cryptic. Everything ...

Re: Basket Cases

Hi everyone,
Nice work David on the KT Greg, I havent had a chance to get more photos of the TY trio.

I also hear on the grape vine that Bully Fanatic has had to purchase his first ever Trials boots from his traditional Gum Boots. The end of an era!!!!!

Furthermore Greg, I think that KT exhaust ...

Re: Basket Cases

Hi Everyone,

Nice work again on the David. I do like the Whine that a KT makes and I am interested too as to exactly what gears makes that noise. I also like the naming of the Peter Paice TY250 rattle can blue "Lahey Moto Blue".

Greg, "Rust is the new bling". I think that type of Patina is ...

Re: Basket Cases

Hi Everyone,

Really nice work on the Peter Paice :yamaha TY250 there David.
One of my latest finds!! I think it spent most of its life near the ocean and outside. Surprisingly, cleaned the carby and tank out of crud, found an exhaust for it and runs pretty sweet.

Re: Basket Cases

Hi Everyone,
Reading with interest the transformations of some of these Basket Cases. I have another on the go, but very slow progress. Custard Tarts, Bloody Honda’s, TLRhhhh’s, Butthercup, I wonder what other names people or partners or wives have called their projects.

JB, I wonder if anyone ...

Re: Basket Cases

Hi everyone,
Bloody great score there Greg. Having restored a few TY175’s I am reasonably familiar with TY parts. I have studied both photos Greg and I see a part that looks like a hook between the back end of the exhaust and the engine side cover in the second photo, but I can’t find it in the ...

Re: Shock rebuild

Hi Gillberg,
A lot of people in Brisbane use RAD shock repairs at Moorooka including a lot of VMX guys. I have used him a few times & very reasonable price & quick turn around. He really knows his stuff.

Re: Basket Cases

Hi Everyone,

David, i just thought I would check the plethora of :ossa clutch springs I have, but they are even more heavy duty, but the MAR only run five springs instead of :kawasaki KT 6 clutch springs.
