Re: Wandering Tyre
None.
60 psi pops the beads on.
Years ago had some tyres that were a real Ba****rd to get one
Riding mate was in the tyre industry. Might have laced the James hubs up to an alloy rim, with same spoke holes as hub ?
Anyway, couldnt get the bead to sit. The wheel went in the Truck Tyre cage.
Im sure we put 120/140psi in it to get it on. Even on a flat the tubed tyre wouldnt roll off.
Mmmm getting off. Not something done easy.
The James, still being ridden in Qld.

Re: Wandering Tyre
Shane,
James still being riden in Qld with very suspect rider. Yearly events are Qld Titles, CQTC event, Twinshock & Classic Masters and an HMCCQ practice day.
No self tappers in rear rim. Your last explanation about alloy rim spoked to James hub explains my fun with rear tyres over the years. The new tubeless tyres are now wider than the old tube type 4.00x18 tyres. Have fitted an IRC tube type and I can get that onto the rim eventually. It gives about 1mm clearance to swingarm.
Hope to see you at an event one day.
Cheers,
Terry

Hi Terry.
Yes you will.
Please post a current photo of the James.
Is it running the full circle crank I made up on the original bob weight crank ?
