Basket Cases

Postby Greg Harding » Thu Jul 16, 2009 9:23 pm

Hi Everyone,

Having recently discovered this forum, I have decided to list my basket cases and projects. My aim is to source parts that I need and possibly help others with parts they need. Swapping parts, information and ideas is a great way of solving problems.

My list of basket cases, some of these are fairly complete and others less so.

Honda ]
TL 125 x 2
TL 125S x 1
TL 250 x 2

SUZUKI
RL 250 x 2

YAMAHA
TY 175B x 1
TY 175C x 3
TY 175JC x 2
TY 175JE x 1
TY 250A x 2
TY 250B x 2

My restoration projects are Bultaco 68-70 M 4902554, Montesa 349 5IN25526, Fantic white tank monoshock, front disc and rear drum. Plus I have bikes that I ride which are doubled up with my basket cases. Now that I look at the list, there is more than I thought!

You can contact me on eastbankfab@gmail.com Expect up to a week for reply. Alternately 0428 789 854 for a quicker response.

Silencer - no spares (I bought a replica from Spain)
Gear lever - I'll have a look
Handlebars - no spares here but replica KT250 bars (chromed steel) from Fred and Deb's KT parts in NZ look the part on M49s (and OSSAs) and are only about $60.

Greg the only gear levers I found today are to suit the bootheel clutch cover, and I think your M49002554 might have the earlier clutch cover like my M4900100. They are quite different levers. If you want, you are welcome to have a bootheel lever or I can do suitable photos of the lever on my M49 for you to make a replica.
