After 20 years of trials riding in the UK at expert level and 40 years riding in Australia, reaching A grade for a short and painful spell, I've decided that at 74 years of age its time to "hang up the boots,.
I campaigned my Tiger Cub in classic class for 20 years and its good to see the numbers of classic bikes being ridden at the recent QLD classic championships, I wish I could have been there.
A series of niggling injuries following my last ride at the Isle of Man International 2 day Classic event have drained my passion for the sport but, in truth, age has probably caught up with me.
I still get great pleasure from building and restoring bikes usually TY Yamaha's so I will still be around in one way or another.
I have made many good friends in the sport around Australia and had many a good yarn around a camp fire along with a lot of home brew on occasions, to all those guys and gals I say,,,,,,,,,, "KEEP YER FEET UP"
Cheers
Roger Galpin"
