Replacing with a new thermostat

Postby ito » Mon Nov 21, 2016 10:51 am

I could not find how to drain coolant fluid on service manual.
So, I removed fluid with injector. Some fluid remained.
I had set up a resin sheet and a bottle as shown attached photo.
I tried to replaced with thermostat not to leak fluid.
I made it. There was not fluid leaking.

By the way,
I have got junk Honda TL125 JD06 last week, she is 125cc version of TLR200 twinshocks.
And she is registerable for on road ride. As my TECHNO is not allowed because no registration document.
TL125 is installed H-D sportster tank on attached photo. She does not look trials at all.

Just make sure you remove the top filler cap on the radiator as well when you remove drain plug.
Also you can wire up the Thermo switch either way as it is just a tool to complete or disconnect the circuit. It does not have to be polarity dependant. The fan does, but the thermo switch doesn't.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the clarification!

There much fun to participate in ausopen club. Some events are not friendly still. That's why there a way to book there. It's better to read some info first.
