Re: Monozine Articles
Was the Ty mono the beginning of the end for Trials as a popular sport in Australia?
All the bikes were getting more and more specialised and less suited for trail riding.
The Scott of motorcycle riders couldn't get out on the fire trails in relative comfort like he could on the twinshocks of the past.
These bikes had a more relaxed riding position and a seat that contained real polyurethane foam that wasn't hidden below a trapdoor seat purely for air cleaning purposes.

Hi Everyone,
Kurt, I am not really sure what you mean, obviously trail bikes were more suited for Trail riding than Trials bikes. The Scott did have a big seat, it is Twinshock and in my opinion has a similar riding position (when sitting down) to a TL 125.
Now back to TY Mono in a magazine that predates TY 250 L by about 10 Years.
The article is long winded so I am only showing the parts relevant to Trials.

Hi Everyone,
Here is an interesting article on the first mono sold here, photos courtesy of David Lahey:
This photo for some reason rings a bell, did I see her in a movie but not on that
