What Front Brake Master Cylinder is this

Postby Grassy » Tue Dec 05, 2017 8:33 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm a complete noob so apologies in advance if this is a stupid question. Bought a GG 2011 250 recently and have had a ball riding around the yard building sections and challenges with my son. I noticed recently there seems to have been a bit of damage to the front brake assembly in that the boot and attached actuating bit aren't held in by anything other than pressure from the tightening of the lever range of movement.

It has fallen off a couple of times and I've managed to locate it but alas now it is lost in the paddock. Don't want to miss any riding this weekend so Three questions.

1) is there as I suspect the end of the moulding missing that holds the boot in, meaning new assembly... or
2) does the circlip hold it in and I just needed to remove and reassemble so the boot was held in by it?
3) What brand is this so I can buy the appropriate part asap depending on the answer to 1&2

Thanks anyone in advance that can help out

Cheers,

Jeremy

Its just held in with tension between the piston & lever adjuster screw. One of these will do the trick

It's an AJP front brake Master Cylinder part # BT61000R3009
it has an Aftermarket Reservoir cap fitted.
The Original manufacturers kit for the bits your missing is part # BT280222209/1
It contains the Rubber boot, the actuating rod and the spring.
The rubber boot fits in a groove in the Master cylinder body, so no need to remove the circlip.
Best to remove the lever, fit the boot kit, and reinstall the lever.
The original boot kits look like this, and can be found here:
