Scorpa SY Fork Seal removal

Hi I've got an 04 SY250 and I'm finding it hard to remove the fork seals.
Its running the standard Paoli forks, I've rebuilt many forks before but I'm a bit stuck with these...all cap etc is off ,the oil is out ,wiper off and plastic guide too...the seal itself looks too big to just pull and withdraw as in other forks..does the top of the lower leg unscrew off etc? (the different coloured metal ring I mean) or is it just pull apart as others?
I've looked for a manula etc but these seem to concentrate on adjustments etc.
