tripple clamp for Sherco 290* on it's way from Spain

Was nipping up the bolts after fitting a pair of seal savers last night and the alloy between the bolts has cracked. On both sides. I was by no means swinging off the hex key.

Part I need is the bottom half of the tripple clamps to fit an '02 Sherco 290.

If anyone has one I can buy or borrow for this weekend and can get to me by this sunday then name your price!

Where's is the crack? If it's in a place thats easy to to get to, then just tig weld it up. It's a bit hard to work out if its weldable without looking at it. Can u post up a pic? I've welded up a few in my time and they all worked just fine..........Or just rip down to Motostar99's place in the middle of the night and "borrow" the required part!

Heya Junior - Heres a photo of your bike for you .. I can take some more if need be...cause most were a bit blurred - but this one gives you the idea for both sides...the main crack runs completely right down and you can also see the other one running from the centre bolt and out...

I can confirm that in no way did Junior overtighten himself (he didnt get the chance quite frankly!!!)... When the bolts were undone initially, it was noted that they appeared to be a bit loose, but it wasnt till they were retightened that they then easily gave way...

Try Phil at PTR Engineering. He's on this board as "Phil".

He fixed my top triple clamp on my Gasser. Broke in a similar way.
Worth a phone call!
