Ebay ripoffs

Post by dad »

Hi all,

Was just browsing on ebay under yamaha ty and noticed a front wheel bearing kit for sale for $26.98 claiming to suit the yamaha ty 350.

Oh wow it comes with double lip seals!!!!!!

Hold on, the bearings are sealed and there is no provision for the 'seals' in the hubs, let alone that according to the parts manual for the 350 there are no 'seals' for the front wheel bearings.

I went to the local bearing supplier and got the same branded bearings fro $4 each.

Caveat emptor.

Good point Dad
I have seen exactly the same sort of thing, its not Ebay of course its the people advertising their goods through Ebay.
The message is clear to the buyer, do your research and be absolutely sure of what you should be paying to actually get a bargain.
Cheers
