Helen's first real practice day pictures

Post by Starky »

Here we are with two pictures from the practice day at Brooweena last Sunday. This is my wife in her first section. Yes nice and easy section but she can't really even ride a bike yet. She did well and was very pleased with herself and her pink TY175. =D> =D> =D>

Robyn and Jeff Eckert looking on.

Hey Wazza, seeing you seem to be quite familiar with the helmet Helen is wearing, I'm guessing you are the famous Wazza with the Suzuki RL250.
If it is you, I'm really looking forward to seeing your bike and the attempt at a "world" record at Brooweena for the most RL250s and KT250s all in one place at the one time.

Hey guys,
Yes Dave it is THAT famous Wazza with the equally famous RL. But I'm famous for a couple of other things to.......
And thank you Starky for I much prefer Wazza instead of Warren. It sounds more, well, approachable and friendly. And then they get to know me and it all comes unstuck! I have really gotten into this trials gig since buying the RL and thought it was high time I took it to it's ultimate conclusion and joined in all the fun of this here forum. Helen's pics were the perfect excuse.

I also have a few pictures of Mark Reed's RL250 both before and after him restoring it for you RL fans. This is a before shot at Brooweena. The after shots are taken at Canungra back in February.

Starky, How do we start out with some very nice pics of Helen riding her new trials bike in what Dave aptly refered to as "a cool helmet" and then somehow end up with pics of me sitting on my bike looking like I've swallowed a helmet?! I suppose the "action shot" is some sort of consolation. I feel compelled to add that it is very, very hard indeed to look bad on an RL as the vastly superior looks and performance of the Suzuki make even the most ordinary rider look extraordinary. I'll just put my big spoon away now.
