These are some road models.
Not sure of model names but pretty cool collection & would no doubt have heaps of street cred in certain area's.

Ossa Enduro & Flat track bikes.
Note the trick linkage on the Flat Track bikes mainly used in the states. This patent was later bought by Suzuki for their MX bikes.

Production Trials series.
They had 1 of every production model all lined up from 1967 through to 1982.
They were displayed on cut off logs with the year & size on the log. I think some years where there was a 250 & 350 that were exactly the same they just had 1 engine size of that year.

The rare 303 350 1982 model & the Factory special MAR 350 with cantilever rear suspension as used by Mick Andrews in the Scottish in the early 70's.

It has been a while since anyone has posted pictures of their twin shocks. Having been overwhelmed with all the TY yamahas, I have enclosed a picture of my "Honda harem".

The TL250's weren't a really good trials bike, but were excellent for pulling logs out of the dam.

Don, sorry to be so pedantic. The monoshock was ridden in the scottish by John Reynolds and John Metcalf but never by magical Mick. It was an OSSA UK project dreamed up by Roger Holden. I forget who did the frames but there's a write up on TC about them.

Anyway great pics. Thanks for sharing.

TY250 E 1978

Post by Stanm »

Here is a picture of my rare TY250E complete with dust and all. It is pretty standard except for a Sherco front mudguard and falcon shocks. Found the sherco guard does not clog up like the original. I dont ride my A any more as this bike is far better. Probably due mainly to the A being worn out. Stamm

Here is my TY175C that I've been cleaning up since just before xmas. I've still got quite a bit of work to do yet, but it was good to put it together and have a bit of a putt around, ie finally get a bit of return on the time I've invested. Thanks everyone who's added to this site, the info I have grabbed from here was great.

Nice looking TY175C there Mark,

Just a question for the TY experts.

Did Yamaha resort to a different rear muffler assembly for the "C"s ?
they look a bit chunkier than the earlier models
