TY175 Bars

Post by TYYamFan »

This is the final touches to my TY, original footrests and Hi rise bars......Were they really that high? From memory they were.... but it feels similar to a modern bike when riding.....

Those are better than the standard Yamaha bars which didn't have enough kick up at the ends to be comfortable and yes they did used to be that high.
Nice looking bike. Make sure you get plenty of good photos before you get it dirty.
OK where did the bars come from? I would like to get some.
relax, nothing is under control

What height set are they, 5 1/2" or 6" rise?
Noted the shorty levers too, what are they also, different perches?
I would rather push my twinshock than ride a modern!

The bars are a second hand pair of Renthals, maybe 15 years old! 6" rise maybe. The levers are just cheapie aftermarket, I had trouble locating the originals and I'm sure they'd be really expensive!
