Just a small update on the Qld Titles in June.

Jack field and Jack Kavanagh will be doing their 30 minute freestyle Trials show at 4.30 on the 7th of June, after the close of sections on the first day.
(not to be missed!) Hang around after for Dinner?

The Caterers will be taking prebookings for breakfast, lunch and dinner on both days,
Refer attatched menu.

A new observer "discount entry" will apply for the first time,so get your friends and mates involved.Lunch will be provided for all observers.
Refer to the subregs.Entry's close on the 29th may 2009.

First working bee starts 24th may,30,31,6th june. All welcome to lend a hand.
Some arena sections need large tyres etc. any assistance would be great.

Section Sponsors are still required, starting from $50 to $70 each section.(refer subregs) if you know of one sponsor, just let me know.

A great property to ride and Camp.Only 30 minutes west of Nerang on the Gold Coast.

Can someone please clarify something about the Qld Titles

This text is taken from the posting by Robyn Curtis that includes the link to the Supp Regs
http://www.trials.com.au/absolut/articl ... cleID=1799

Logan River will be treating all grades as ‘Queensland Champions’ not just those championship grades eg B, C, Clubman & Mini.

However the Supp Regs have B Grade, C Grade, Clubperson and Minibike listed under "Support Grades" while all the other grades are listed under "Championship Grades"

I am not affected by any of this (I'm riding Twinshock of course) but have asked about this because I know that the inclusion/non-inclusion of Clubperson as a championship class has been a hot topic for a few years.

Just a reminder that all entries close this friday the 29th May, Or you can bring the
entry form's to the working bee this weekend(Saturday & Sunday)and save yourself a stamp.
If you spare a day to help out this weekend it would be much appreciated.
last weekends working bee was cancelled due to the excess rain making it wat too hard to enter the property.

Yes,Clubman,C, B and Mini grade;s will be support grade's for the first time, So I ask
all Intro riders to please come out and assist.

Still very short on Observers, please email Leesa on the attatched link.

David
In answer to your question on the confusing statement on Championship & non Championship grades at the Qld titles, it is because MA will not allow us in the Supp Regs to refer to Clubman, C, B etc as Championship grades for the State titles.
But the committee at Logan River believe that these grades are just as worthy as being Queensland Champions in their particular grade as those that are recognised in the GCR's or MOMS whichever you wish to call it. These grades are ridden at all events Australia wide so why should they not be recognised at such a prestigious event.
So that is why we are refering to all grades will be recognised as Queensland Champions because Logan River will be treating them that way regardless of MA reluctance.

Hopefully that answers your question.

Nice work on the Clubman, C, B etc as Championship grades for your State titles this year Chaps it’s about time that MA realised this sport of ours is for the benefit of the competitors, supporters and spectators not the bureaucrats =D> =D>

Logan River and in particular Robyn Curtis should be congratulated for having the conviction to include these eroniously called "Support Grades" in their Title event. Maybe a name more like "Backbone" or "Majority" grades would be more appropriate?
My Qld Title Non Championship Clubman first place trophy won some years back now may have been a little more meaningful then rather than it being consigned straight into the meaningless trophy box somewhere in the back of my shed.

Should be an awesome weekend! I'm looking forward to it!

And I do agree with everybody else, I don't like the fact that the classes that fill the competitions every weekend and basically keep the sport running don't get a ride at big events, so well done Logan River for adding them to the Championship.

See you all out there!

Diddly401 is luckier than me if he has a trophy stashed away in a cupboard, for a Qld win in Clubman.
Two years ago the Qld titles went over four rounds and I scraped the win in Clubman class and got sweet fanny adams (FA) for my efforts.
I can't think of any other sport where this could happen where the controlling body ignores achievement from the sports participants.
I wonder if the beaurocrats in MA and MQ ever read these forums to get some ideas why SQTA was formed and how they can keep members happy in affilliated clubs.

I've been dying to say this for two years
