looks to be a good honest jigga! well its got the correct muffler and front hub with speedo drive, battery has the right mount! .. you say it has a stator and your pop had it for years.looks to me like its factory! never seen an alloy tank with lights. but thats a rl250l frame number for sure.got yourself a rare doova! ive got some early ads from trail and track. clifton hill motor cycles in vic now long gone were big into suzukis in the 70,s offered a road kit for the RL250L ,could be that a few dealers offerd this .but the mainstream buyers went for the comp package . so there fore 30 odd years later few surived. i believe RL,s are rare these days no matter what model.ive spent half my life chasing down old trials bikes [all brands] and only ever found a handful of RL,s.....however an old bloke told me years ago when i started whording old dirt bikes. he said "bikes speek for themselves" if they are rare its probally becase they were "no good"

Ha ha ha. You're probably right about the "no good". Why else would Suzuki sell 3000 RL250's to Beamish and then he chucks the frame for his own "whitehawk" frame. For a bike that can be registered I think it's pretty good.

Had some bad sources of info for what I was rambling on about here. I read some more on the net and noticed the errors.
Is it time to ride yet?
