A reminder that Motorcycling Queensland will facilitate a Moto-Trials Forum at the Australian Motorcycle Museum – 3 Butlers Road, Haigslea, on Saturday 12th September 2009.

Registration for this Forum is essential!!!

To register to attend this Forum, interested persons must complete and return the attached Expression of Interest Form to Motorcycling Queensland by Monday 7th September 2009.

It is anticipated that this Forum will provide Moto-Trials competitors, parents, officials, promoters, clubs, subcommittee members and any other individual interested in the discipline of Moto-Trials in Queensland, with the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of Moto-Trials events in this state.

Motorcycling Queensland is encouraging any person who has ideas and suggestions on how to contribute to the improvement of Moto-Trials to attend the Forum. It’s an opportunity to have your say about your sport.

The Motorcycling Queensland Development Officer – Kim Rowcliffe will work closely with the Queensland Moto-Trials subcommittee on the planning and implementation of this Forum.

A professional facilitator (Mr. Peter Phair) has been engaged to manage this Forum, and invitations will be extended to a variety of stakeholders that the subcommittee and Motorcycling Queensland believe would be useful to have in attendance, in order to achieve a ‘whole of state’ and ‘whole of discipline’ approach.

The details of the Forum are as follows:

Where: Australian Motorcycle Museum - 3 Butlers Road, Haigslea (approximately 15kms west of Ipswich)
When: Saturday 12th September 2009
Time: Registration from 9am, Museum viewing from: 9am – 10am, Forum: 10am – 2:30pm
Catering: Tea and Coffee on arrival and lunch (break at 12:30pm) for all attendees

Did I mention that registration for the Forum is essential? It is!!!

To register to attend please complete the Registration Form and return to Motorcycling Queensland by Monday 7th September 2009.

More information on the Motorcycling Queensland Moto-Trials Forum is available by contacting Motorcycling Queensland on (07) 3281-2255.

I've recieved the Agenda for the forum - looks good. Pretty much covers what you would expect - costs, juniors, women, venues, rules, clubs, titles, officials, promotion, AND where have all our recent top riders got to? Which leads me to the next comment.

There was also an attendee list. And there doesn't seem to be a single person between the ages of twenty and thirty five (maybe forty just counting fellas).

So if you are a youngster I am sure you could still come along - we need you.
