What is a fair price to pay for a straight TY175 Tank?

I reckon $250 spot on straight with no need to paint. I know the alloy RL tanks go for $1000. I picked up a steel tank that was pretty good for $110.
Q:If the fuel tank originally cost $60 say, then 35 years later the current day dollar figure of that tank would be about $890.
(a) How much must Johnny pay to repay his credit card in 6 months after buying a $890 tank at 27%pa.
(b) Did Johnny get ripped off on the tank? By how much?
(c) Is a credit card Johnny's best option? Why?
I wish we had questions like this at school.
