Re: Show us a picture of your Twinshock
Hi Guys,
This is my recent acquirement a 1982 swm tl 320 [280cc] from Steve in Maitland NSW. I put my high bar on it and a new domino throttle from Troy and competed C grade at Denman the next day and had a ball.
Since then I've fixed a broken spoke, changed the fork oil height to stop her topping out and blowing thru' the stroke and a flat rear tyre and its great to work on. The attention to detail is very SWM and has an amazing torquey engine, handles great, starts like a dream and the way Steve set up the clutch is great. Looking forward to riding some old school sections where that engine can be used.
Catch ya

ps Merry Xmas and a happy new year.

Hi Mark,
Good to see you have set the SWM up to suit your needs. I did ask you not to make me regret selling it, posting beautiful pictures of it doesn't help (LOL)
Steve.

ps Dave has nearly shamed me into giving up Classic Dirt for 2010 and coming down for the Denman 2 day ....so you may see her again...

Yow Scorps
Looks like the Beamish is sitting in the UK with the wooden garage and paving slabs.
you're going to need a big air mail bag??
What sort of cost is that to get over?
Or is that top secret info?
Nice bike though,my mate had one in the day

Howdy Y'all,
G'Day Russ, it is in England, just waiting for the import approval forms to clear DOTAR's. All I can say transport is not cheap, but it only takes 4 days to get here....
Should be a good pickup from Brisbane depots in the next 2 weeks - Orange KT and Fantic 240 for me, and a Beamish for Dad.

Say Scorps. That's a nice Beamish. How long before you stick some rego plates on it. Go on. Hit the road and jump a few parked cars! You know you want to.
Is it time to ride yet?

Howdy Y'all,
Beamish 325 has landed!! Dad has swapped the shocks, wheels and cable off his RL250 to end up like it is now. We have worked out it is a 1979 model, just needs a chain guard and cover.
Enjoy!!

Howdy Y'all,
David, I only rode it for 5 min, and it was only OK. Further investigation by Dad found a blocked pilot and a dirty fuel bowl. By all accounts though it now goes like a train. I think dad is taking it for a run in a couple of weeks down at SQTA, so we will know how it runs in anger then.
