The last twin shock Montesa sold by Lyall O'Brian in 1986!
I repainted the tank in 86 but the front tyre is still the one fitted new although the hub is a 125 Cappra. Other than a seat recover, new betor shocks and a chain and sprockets and a recycled tyre, here it is almost orig at last!
It may not be a pure trials Monty but I can assure you it turns heads when Sue takes it out into the bush down here in Mexico. BTW, it has always been kept registered even when sitting for the last 15 years!! I was on a promise, at last I have delivered! And sorry about the Kato in the picture....it's a his' n her's thing!
And the bruise Sue got first time out ....oooouch!
Oh.... And if you look really close you will note the innovative use of polypipe and cable ties as a very successful chain guard!!!
