Yep, the DRZ belonged to Peter, not a mark on it. :D It will only cruise about 90km an hour at the moment. I think I can get it to cruise about 100 with a sprocket change. I don't want speed, I want to be able to smell the flowers. The DSMRA boys are happy to have me back as they won't need their maps and GPS in the forestry.

Is this about "Proposed Rule Changes" - no, OOPs - better go

I would propose a Pre 65 Euro only class.

Ban the pommy bikes and my bet is within a couple of years the forest shall resound to a plethora of early Bultacos, CZ's etc etc.....

....maybe just joking.....

Yes I too agree with your comments David, I was looking forward to riding Post Classic at this years Aussies and yes I know these rules don't really affect me riding P/C but with all the whoo haa going on with pre 65's I just can't be bothered, I have also been contemplating building a competitive pre 65 for a few years now, have ridden them before in Aussie competition but now have decided to forget it. I've been a bit crook lately and haven't been on my Yam as much as I'd like but even when I come good I'II just stick to my home state trials from now on, only my opinion of course but I'm happy to ride locally only. Good luck to the pre 65 class, sounds like it will need it.

Steve Holzhauser has made a very valid point here. Is it fair that in Veterans a 60 year old competes against a 65 year old who perhaps has a hip replacement? What is the value of a hip replacement? Should it reduce the rider's age by 5 years or 6 years? And is a knee replacement worth the same age reduction as a hip? And should two knee replacements equal double years? Or maybe if you are Spanish born, you lose twice the number of years and should start in Masters instead?

How many worms in that can????

Hi everyone,

I agree, good on the Victorians for sugesting an air cooled monoshock class, what a great idea! Think of all the TY`s lined up, would almost be a TY clallenge, maybe a few TLM`s and Fantic`s, perhaps their is some other bikes that escape me right now? Where do all the 80`s and early 90`s bikes end up? There must be a plethora out there somewhere waiting to be used in competition. What a great way for riders who are not keen on Open Solo and not old enough for Masters or Veterans to compete! There is another plus as I see it, all bikes from Classic to modern would be on display in action at the Australian Titles!
