Does anybody have any good ideas for moving a bike from southern states to NT economically.

Have been quoted 1,500+ making purchases expensive.

One suggestion so far is packing the trials bike in a scooter crate / box and freighting that up.

Call First Fleet on 13 30 40 as I use them and have had bikes without crates transported by them.

I had a bike sent up from Melbourne to Brisbane a couple of years ago and it cost $150. I would get in contact with NQX freight systems on (07) 3275 0400 or north qld freight on (07) 3118 5985. They should be able to give you the info you need.

Shops that sell motorbikes often have an excess of the boxes that new bikes come in. You may have to partly dismantle the trials bike but it makes for low-cost bike freight.
